On a Saturday evening the Defendant was at home with his family when an uninvited family member came over and began to argue with the Defendant. She told the police that he shoved her against the wall and pushed her out the door. She then stated that the Defendant threatened her with a machete in front of a 9-year old boy and multiple people. The Defendant was arrested on Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon charge and taken to jail where he was not allowed to post any bond. The family contacted AnneMarie Rizzo and she quickly went to the jail and argued to the Judge that her client was entitled to a reasonable bond. The Judge agreed and set a bond for the Defendant. AnneMarie began her investigation of the facts and evidence in the case. After AnneMarie presented the Prosecutor with all the inconsistencies in the case the Prosecutor agreed to dismiss all the charges.
